xxxx{xXz}, 2013-2017
xxxx{xXz} investigates how digitization transforms our relationship to material objects and cultural heritage. The xXz sculptures were derived from 3D scans of figures in the Louvre and later made publicly accessible—questioning the museum’s role as gatekeeper of cultural memory and the politics of access (2013). Developed as an early experiment in virtual exhibition formats, xxxx hosts xXz and the first code_ performance, marking a formative stage in Byrke Lou’s exploration of embodiment and translation between physical and digital realms.
